Windy Day Fishing on Lake Lanier.

Report Date: September 28, 2009

Shane Watson Guide Service Report (09-28-09). Nothing much has changed on the stripers over the last couple of weeks, except we are starting to see some bigger fish up shallower. We've had boats out on trips everyday the weather has permitted and the fishing has been good most days. This morning inspite of the strong winds and front passing, the stripers bit very well on our boats and they were up shallower. Yesterday, they were deeper and out over the channel. Downlined and power reeled bluebacks worked best over a 35-50 foot bottom today. We are catching a few stripers and some really big spots on top using a chrome and blue Sebile. Our biggest spot was 6 pounds this morning on top and all of them have been released. Our biggest striper this morning was 15 pounds or so and the action was very good for being so windy. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing.
