Driving Rain and Wind.

Shane Watson Guide Service Friday Report. The striper fishing has been up and down this week, with the strong winds. Downlined bluebacks and trout fished 40-50 feet deep over the main channel and in the middle to the mouths of creeks have produced best. The schooling bite has been good at times, but the busting fish have also been non existant and hard to get to somedays as well. I've seen mornings since my last report where they would stay up and you could catch them well on freelines, Redfins, Spro's, Chugbugs, and Magic Swimmers. I've also seen schools that you could see off in the distance busting for 5 seconds and the time you get over to them they are gone. Overall, it has been up and down. It is 12:00 noon on Friday. We kept all of our guide boats in this morning, except for one group that was here for 1 day from out of town. I talked with my guide a few minutes ago and inspite of the driving wind and rain, they have done well for the conditions on downlined bluebacks. They said the fish did come up a little, but did not stay up long. The store got in a load on really nice gizzard shad and we should have a good supply all winter long. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing.
