Typical Summer Lake Lanier patterns are working.

Report Date: August 5, 2008

Water Temperature: 84
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Shane Watson Guide Service (Mid-Week Report) 08-05-08. Downlined bluebacks fished 35-70 feet deep over a 80-120 foot bottom in the middle of southend creeks and out over the main channel are still working best. The leadcore bite is also good using Capt. Mack's 1 oz, white jigs, tipped with live bluebacks or chartreuse trailers, fished 8 colors out at 3.0 mph. Overall, the striper fishing has been good most days. Change your bait frequently and try to get on some fish that are bunched up for best success. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing.
