Big Bluebacks are Best Bait on Lake Lanier.
Report Date: April 14, 2008
Water Temperature: 56
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater
Shane Watson Guide Service Monday Report. The striper fishing has been really good if you are on the fish and have big bluebacks. Last Thursday and Friday morning were as good as I have seen it all year. Saturday and Sunday mornings were decent on our boats. Today, Monday morning was really good inspite of the cold wind. Big freelined bluebacks, changed frequently, fished 20-60 feet behind the boat are producing best. There are fish scattered in the mouths of most creeks, the backs of most creeks, and on the main channel. The main thing is to cover as much water as you can and keep your bait fresh. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. We appreciate everyone's business. Good Fishing.
