Bigger Stripers are Up ShallowReport Date: November 29, 2008Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Shane Watson Guide Service Saturday Report. The striper fishing remains good if you are on active fish. We've seen good numbers most mornings in the middle of most creeks in deeper coves and pockets. This morning they were rolling on top, up in shallow pockets and on shallow flats. We did well on freelined trout and leadhead flukes. The birds were a dead give away each time. We are seeing good numbers of, above average size fish in these surfacing groups. A couple of days this week when the sun was high and the wind was up, we did very well downlining trout 30-40 feet deep in larger schools that were 40 feet thick on your graph. Overall, the striper fishing remains good. Don't fish blind, keep moving until you find some active fish. The northend and southend are both producing nice stripers right now. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing. |
