Stripers and Spotted Bass Up Shallow on Points.

Report Date: April 5, 2009

Shane Watson Guide Service Report (04-05-09). We've had boats out on trips everyday and we are seeing a mix of stripers and spotted bass up shallow, on main lake and secondary points. These fish are biting freelined bluebacks and jerk baits. Expect alot of bites as the action is very good on this mix of fish. If you fish up shallow, make sure and carry alot of bait as you can easily go through 5 dozen in a few hours. There are stripers scattered out over the main channel mid-lake and south, but these fish have been a little harder to catch the last few days, than the fish that are up shallow. We've had stripers up to 25 pounds this week on our boats. We've also Caught and Released many spotted bass up to 7 pounds this week while striper fishing. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. We Appreciate Everyone's Business. Good Fishing.
